Teeth Whitening Treatments for a Sparkling Smile
We all want a bright smile that we can be proud of, however, it is not always easy when it means we have to compromise some of the things we love, such as wine and coffee. However, today we have various teeth whitening procedures that have proven to be effective and that we are proud to offer you as our valuable patient. Please review some of those teeth whitening procedures below and contact us to schedule an appointment with our dentist to discuss in detail which procedure is ideal for you.
Opalescence Boost is a chemically activated power whitening gel that provides brighter, whiter teeth after just 40 minutes in the dental chair. The powerful 40% hydrogen peroxide gel is chemically activated, so it doesn’t require a hot, uncomfortable light to work.
Opalescence Boost consists of two syringes: The first contains 38 percent hydrogen peroxide, the active tooth whitening ingredient. The second syringe contains fluoride and potassium nitrate (PF), which helps strengthen tooth enamel, reduce sensitivity and protect against cavities. When mixed, the gel produces a distinct red color to help ensure correct placement and full removal of the product.
Safe and effective, Opalescence Boost usually takes only one dental visit to complete. While one visit is all you need to achieve a brighter smile, difficult stains or extreme discoloration may require additional treatments.
At Family Dental Care of East Peoria, Opalescence Boost is just one of many teeth whitening options. Call us at 309-694-4444 to schedule a consultation.
Take-Home Whitening Trays
Take-home whitening trays are a type of teeth whitening procedure that you can perform in the comfort of your home. These trays are custom-made to fit over your teeth, and whitening occurs via the application of a special gel inside the trays. Our dentist will provide you with complete instructions for best results. Although they can be a convenient option, take-home whitening trays can take longer than other treatments, and they don’t always work well for deep stains.
Contact East Peoria,IL to obtain any of the above treatments mentioned above. Our dentist will guide you through the entire process and make sure you are satisfied with your results. We hope to hear from you soon!
